Journaling has real benefits but people can't make it stick
Journaling is clinically supported as a tool for reducing stress, improving emotional regulation, and building self-awareness. The science is clear. The behaviour is not.
Despite genuine desire, most people abandon their practice within weeks. Busy schedules, blank-page anxiety, and a lack of structure all create invisible barriers between intention and action.

A crowded space — but one defined by trade-offs
The journaling app market splits between depth-first experiences (rich writing, multimedia, privacy) and speed-first experiences (mood taps, streaks, minimal text). No mainstream app successfully bridges both — and none prioritise guided, conversational reflection for overthinkers.
